ARTIFACTS
1. Each model shown below is an accurate representation of the shape and often the colors of a certain building. Each is labeled which gives insight on the type of building or specific one this was made to represent. Each one has a W.P.A. stamp on the bottom because it was made by their workers.
2. Common people were hired to do anything and everything, whether people considered it practical or not. Things like being paid to make art or take photographs weren't necessarily directly beneficial to their communities, but served as very important portals into the past for generations. These models were miniature versions of real buildings and give us insight on the places people lived, went to, or even just saw, in their day-to-day lives.
3. From merely looking at the pictures of these works, I can infer that people who were wealthy lived in lavish Victorian style "castles" as they called them. The Byzantine house appears to be more of a public facility- maybe an apartment or an inn. The fact that it is called a house makes it seem more casual than a mansion or castle. I also assume that the Beehive dwelling and the Cave Cabin were houses or single families or places visited either for work or a semi-camping trip.
